End of a chapter - 3 Years at Ctrack

Update 2017/01/13

Seems like I am not quite done with this Chapter of my career just yet.

On the 16th of September 2016 I left Derivco and returned to Ctrack, you might wonder why anyone would even consider leaving such a fantastic company so soon? Just look at the stunning photos of the Derivco Pretoria branch I had the privilege to be a very small part of.

I am not going to elaborate too much (I don't want to wash dirty laundry in public), lets just say there is much more to building a career and wanting to become the best in your field, than free food, sexy walls, game rooms etc.

Perhaps we just met too soon?

Pop me an email if you want / need more information (especially if you're considering a career that side and need an objective view).

This week I am finishing up my last few days at Ctrack (aka Digicore, aka Novatel Wireless), for the last 3 years I was involved in the software development of their Ctrack Online and Mobi applications.

If anyone at Ctrack is reading this, I just want to thank you for the fantastic opportunity to have been a very small part of a brilliant group of individuals, fuelling one of the world leaders in telematics.

Ctrack 30th Birthday

I joined Ctrack during a very difficult emotional period of my life, my ex-wife left me for my "best friend" just a few months after starting at the company, a year after that I was in a bike accident and had to spend 6 weeks in hospital and a few months in bed.

My Leg Fractures

In all that time I received the most amazing support and encouragement from the guys at work.

It was an honour serving with you guys, I will always think of you as family.

Now as I go into the unknown, I am hopeful, excited and a bit scared - experiencing some hectic (to put it mildly) new job jitters, but all in all looking forward to working with / for the guys at Derivco here in Pretoria.
